Sustainability and 4E analysis of novel solar photovoltaic-thermal solar dryer under forced and natural convection drying

Developing a sustainable photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) solar drying system is essential to maintain zero carbon emission in the process. This work represents of star fruit novel PVT dryer analyze sustainability indicators based on energy and exergy performance with environmental economic evaluation (4E) under forced convection (FCD) natural (NCD). The moisture content decreased from 10.11 (d b) 0.19 b.) 12.50 h 14.50 FCD NCD, respectively. same has been obtained open sun conditions time 22.00 h. efficiencies are 69.27% 31.12% mode, respectively, 43.58% 17.89% NCD mode. efficiency 15.27% 13.98%, specific extraction rate 0.1786 kg/kWh 0.6657 kg/kWh, consumption 12.37 kWh/kg 3.57 evaluated modes, payback 1.40 yr 1.70
